Interactive Mix Limited has continued its growth following a move from Camden Town to more central offices opposite Kings Cross Station.
"We have had a very busy summer' and Autumn said Aaron Savage Managing Director of Interactive Mix, "We needed a creative team that had never existed before and probably wasn't going to work if we looked for a traditional copywriter / Art Director combination. The problem is that traditional creative teams think in terms of the message and work down from that point, whereas Digital Media requires the starting point to be the customer and to work up. We needed a copywriter who understood this and was aware of SEO. In addition we needed an Art Director who could integrate usability and user experience into their creative. Laurie Penny and Lily Dart have therefore joined the team."
Dart joined the team in Spring, and the agency has been looking for the right creative partner to work with her since then. Prior to this she had been freelancing with a number of digital and integrated agencies. Penny graduated from Oxford two years ago and is an experienced blogger and journalist. She previously ran her own political blogs which have in turn been picked up by the national press.
"I think that clients are sick and tired of seeing offline creative that has been shoe horned into the digital space. It rarely performs and is generally a waste of money. It's time for a new approach to creative that is focussed on delivering results to clients. We have found the perfect team to deliver this and are very excited about the future", said Savage. The pair will work closely with Director of User Experience Adam Bradshaw who has also joined the team. Bradshaw has worked extensively with large Digital and Integrated agencies such as LDA for the last twelve years and has worked on many large projects and COI accounts including The Cabinet Office. He also worked with Savage at Bluewave during the Internet marketing industry's formative years.
"When it comes to development knowledge and user experience, Adam is quite simply world class, and it's absolutely great to be working with him again." said Savage. "We have a shared vision of how a digital agency should look and there are key people needed to be able to achieve that. Adam provides a huge piece of the jigsaw. With his help and guidance I am sure that Lily and Laurie will very quickly produce the kind of work that the marketplace is screaming for but which many agencies seem incapable of delivering."
The agency has not announced any new business wins since June this year but intimated that an announcement on this subject is imminent.
